expression and words new to me

The first article I read is the dailynewsarticle given by Rarejob as the text: “Jewels of Persia” Tour to Boost Iran’s Tourism | 英会話ニュース教材 Daily News Article
The expression I could not caught is this:
Its westbound route works the other way around.
The eastbound route of the 'Jewels of Persia' trips start at Budapest, Hungary and end in  Tehran, Iran. And its westbound route goes the other way around, which means the westbound trip starts at Tehran, Iran and ends in Budapest, Hungary.

In discussion with a tutor, the proposition: this kind of trips is worth is discussed. I'd rather take this trip if I have enough time and money, because scenery seen from trip trains must be beautiful and great.

Then, here's another news article I read this morning: BBC News - Tesla losses mount as China sales disappoint.
In the article, Iron Musk claimed Tesla still is convinced of potential of the Chinese market, though they lose money through fourth-quarter period.

Nonetheless, in a statement accompanying earnings Mr Musk said "we remain convinced of the vast potential of this market".
Tesla shares plunged 3% in after hours trading.
Mr. Musk explain the cause of the fourth-quarter loss is production delay, which led to fewer shipment of cars.

convince: to cause (sbd) to believe firmly in the truth of sth
nonetheless: in spite of that
plunge: to fall suddenly and uncontrollably
